Log
On
To log
into your account you will need your USERNAME and PASSWORD handy.
Your user name will be your first name, followed by a full stop, then
your surname.
EXAMPLE
USERNAME: JOE.BLOGGS
The default
password is set to changeme. If you are unsure of your password please
ask the administrator for assistance. We advise you keep your password
safe and change it from the default one as soon as possible.
Password
hints. Pick a password you will remember. We advise you make it at
least 9 characters long for security purposes.
Send Email
To
send and receive email on your New Brighton Online email account you
need to follow these steps.
Step
1
- Double click the ‘Outlook Express’ icon on the desktop.
This will your email client.
Step
2 – When the client has loaded it will ask you
for your password. Enter your password into the box and click OK.
Please note if you do not enter your password and you start typing
a email you will loose all the work you have done. You must enter
your password first before doing anything else.
Step
3
– After entering your password the system will automatically
check your email and inform you if you have any new messages.
Step
4
– To create a new email, click the NEW MESSAGE icon. This will
open a blank email. You will then need to do three things. Enter a
recipient (who you would like to send the email too). Enter a subject
title. Create a message.
Step
5
– To send your new email all you have to do is press the SEND
MESSAGE icon and your email will have been sent.
Search
the net
Here you will
find a list of good search engines to help you find what you are looking
for on the internet. Try and be precise with your search criteria
as this will help you filter out things you do not wish to look for.
Use the quotation marks to search for precise phrase or item. For
example, if I wanted to search on Google.com for hair products, I
would input my search enquiry like this. “hair products”
and then click the button GOOGLE SEARCH
